Former IUP baseball shortstop Paul Bingham was called up July 17, 2010, to the Eugene Emeralds of the Class A Northwest League. Before the promotion, he played twenty games for the Arizona Rookie League Padres in Peoria, Ariz.

IUP baseball’s Robbie Zinsmeister and Stephen Cooke were recently selected as collegiate summer league all-stars. Recent graduate Paul Bingham is leading the San Diego Padres’ Arizona Rookie League team in batting average.
