Grammy-Winning Pianist to Present Outreach

The Lively Arts and IUP Libraries present Grammy-winning pianist, composer, and arranger Pablo Ziegler in a special question-and-answer demonstration event on Wednesday, March 25, from 12:00–1:00 p.m. in Cogswell Hall’s Orendorff Music Library.

Latin Grammy Winner Leads South American Quartet

The Lively Arts at IUP will host the Pablo Ziegler Quartet for New Tango for a one-night-only performance infused with Latin jazz on Thursday, March 26, 2015, at 8:00 p.m. in Gorell Recital Hall.

The College of Fine Arts and Department of Music will host internationally acclaimed guitarist Paolo Schianchi in a free recital on Sunday, March 22, 2015, at 8:00 p.m. in Gorell Recital Hall.

Pittsburgh Symphony Concert Rescheduled, New Date Set

The Lively Arts is pleased to announce that the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra concert has been rescheduled. The concert will now be presented at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 20, in Fisher Auditorium.

Wong Doe Performs with Christchurch Symphony Orchestra, New Zealand

IUP piano faculty member Henry Wong Doe performed Beethoven’s Emperor Concerto with the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra in Christchurch, New Zealand, on May 24 and 25, 2014.

Zach Collins and students of the IUP Tuba and Euphonium Studio traveled to Bloomington, Ind., to present invited performances at the 2014 International Tuba Euphonium Conference.

Sabbatical Has Music Professor Busy With World Premieres and Guest Conducting

Jack Stamp has had a busy sabbatical with eight guest-conducting appearances and two world premiere performances of original compositions, plus serving as a recording producer for two separate projects.
