University Museum Opens with “Irons: Functional Tools to Art Objects”

The exhibit tells the cultural, social, and technological story of ironing from the time of the Vikings, through IUP’s own home economics program, and up to the role of irons and ironing in pop culture. September 13–November 8

“Steampunk” Is Theme for Museum Gala

The University Museum at IUP will host its annual gala event on Friday, September 26, in John Sutton Hall. Titled “Hot Iron: A Victorian Industrial Fantasy,” this year’s event is inspired by the museum’s opening fall exhibition, “Irons: Functional Tools to Art Objects.”
