IUP will present its weekly picnics in the Oak Grove from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesdays from June 3 through August 5, 2009. Music from different decades is featured each week.

Hawk it for Good, Indiana’s largest indoor yard sale, will be from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2009, at the Indiana County fairgrounds. Items for sale are largely IUP student donations.

President Tony Atwater received the Commander's Award for Public Service, one of the highest civilian service awards given by the United States Army, at IUP’s ROTC spring dining out event on April 24.
