Geoscience Student Watkins Presents Slow Slip Earthquake Poster at State Capitol

David Watkins, an undergraduate Geology major, was one of two students selected to represent IUP at the Undergraduate Research at the Capitol – PA Poster Conference, held March 11, 2014, in Harrisburg.

Geoscience Faculty and Staff Give Generously to IUP Family Campaign

A full 100 percent of the Geoscience faculty and staff made contributions to this year’s IUP Family Campaign. Because of their efforts, Dean Snavely of the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics will provide an additional $1,000 in scholarships for this year’s incoming freshmen.

Farnsworth and Students Investigate California Rivers

Katie Farnsworth, Department of Geoscience, co-led a weeklong field trip to investigate California Rivers with two IUP students and colleagues from the College of William and Mary.
