Archaeologist to Collaborate on Deep-Sea Shipwreck Investigation: Watch Live on Wednesday

Ben Ford, Anthropology, will participate via telepresence in a NOAA expedition to investigate three shipwrecks in the Gulf of Mexico on Wednesday, April 16. The expedition will be streamed live through the NOAA Okeanos Explorer website.

PASSHE Undergraduate Anthropology Conference to be Held at IUP, April 12–13

IUP will host the 2014 Undergraduate Anthropology Conference, specifically designed for undergraduate students in the PASSHE system to present and discuss their work and to exchange and encourage new ways of engaging anthropology across disciplines and institutions.

Applied Archaeology MA Students Sweep Society for Pennsylvania Archaeology Meetings

Graduate students in the Anthropology Department Applied Archaeology program were awarded the top four honors for poster presentations at the 2014 meeting of the Society for Pennsylvania Archaeology.
