The senior Geoscience majors will present their independent research projects at the 39th annual Geoscience Day, Friday May 3, 2013, showcasing the work they have done over the past year.

Geoscience Students Present Research at Pittsburgh Geological Society

Geoscience undergraduate students Anthony Vaiana and Matt Toland presented their senior research projects on April 17, 2013, at a poster session sponsored by the Pittsburgh Geological Society. Vaiana took home the first place poster prize in the geology category.

Geoscience Student O’Hara Accepted to Summer Internship in Taiwan

Dan O’Hara, IUP ’14, will be spending July and August 2013 at Academia Sinica in Taipei, Taiwan, as part of the Taiwan International Graduate Program.

Dan O’Hara, a Geoscience and Computer Science double major, was one of 271 students nationwide awarded a Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship for 2013–2014.
