For the upcoming concert by Broadway legend, actress, and singer Bernadette Peters, the Lively Arts at IUP will provide 28 musicians that will perform with the two-time Tony Award winner.

A ticket to a Peters concert can easily reach over $50 per ticket. However, with support of the Student Cooperative Association and a variety of sponsors and donors, IUP students will only need to pay between $15 and $18 a seat.

Triptych: Three Ways, Three Words will be performed by the IUP Dance Theater April 27 and 28, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 29, at 2:00 p.m. Based on original poetry and music, the performances will beheld in Zink Hall Dance Theater. Admission is free.

Theater-by-the Grove at IUP will present The Gentleman Dancing Master as its 2011–2012 season finale. Performances are slated for April 19–21 and 25–28, 2012, at 8:00 p.m., with a matinee on Sunday, April 22, at 2:00 p.m.

The Indiana High School drama program has been invited to perform at the prestigious Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland, and to help them get there, Lively Arts will donate $1.00 for every ticket sold for the April 16, 2012, performance of Young Frankenstein: The Musical at Fisher Auditorium.

The University Museum at IUP will host a juried exhibition of graduate student art titled “Emerging Artist” from April 13–May 5, 2012. An opening reception will be held at the museum on April 13. Both events are free.
