Ruben Henao, graduate student in the Department of Student Affairs in Higher Education, received a Chacivity Award on April 22, 2009. The awards are presented to students who exemplify behaviors that uplift the spirit of the IUP community through his or her contributions.

Dr. John Mueller, from the Department of Student Affairs in Higher Education, and graduate student Jason Lee presented a session titled “Serving Atheist Students” at the recent ACPA annual convention in Washington, D.C.

Dr. John Wesley Lowery, from the Department of Student Affairs in Higher Education, was the 2009 recipient of the Outstanding Mentor to Graduate Students Award from the Standing Committee for Graduate Students and New Professionals of the American College Personnel Association.
