Cornelius Wooten will come to IUP from Alabama State University.

Robert E. Cook Honors College student Theresa Huber was honored for sound design.

Jerry Salandro M'76 and his wife, Leslie, have donated equipment to the College of Education and Educational Technology that was inspired by research Salandro conducted as an IUP graduate student.  

Cook Honors College Student Gina Russo is the tenth IUP student to earn this prestigious award in the last twelve years.

The John P. Murtha Institute for Homeland Security at IUP established the program to enhance and promote research and teaching capabilities in the homeland security field.

The Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education has approved IUP's tenth doctoral degree program.

The program will be the first of its kind in Pennsylvania and will be offered beginning in fall 2009.

An IUP graduate, John Kopchick will receive the honorary doctoral degree and serve as keynote speaker at the university's May commencement ceremony.

Four faculty members received Distinguished Faculty Awards for teaching, research, community service, and creative arts.

Jennifer Haigh, author of Baker Towers, a New York Times bestseller, will serve as the Schafer Distinguished Speaker April 15 at 8 p.m. in McVitty Auditorium, Sprowls Hall.
