Cristina Perez Stearns is set to be the first student to graduate from the Ph.D. in Nursing Program, which began in 2008.

Plans are underway for a year-long celebration of the event. The honor society will have a table at the Crimson Huddle during Homecoming week, and will sell 30th-anniversary t-shirts at various times throughout the year.
