Gig with a Superstar: Doc Severinsen Wows the Crowd at IUP, and Music Students Are Part of the Show

Legendary trumpeter Doc Severinsen opened the 2014–15 Lively Arts Ovations season on Tuesday, September 16, with an incredible show he invited students to be part of.

Cogswell Hall Performance Area Named for DiCicco

A gift from current professor Jack Stamp, made in memory of his parents and grandfather, has been added to others to name an area of IUP's music facility in memory of a beloved faculty member.

IUP Organ Students to Perform Organ Duet

IUP organ scholarship recipients Maximillian Esmus and Randall Frye will perform a recital on Sunday, April 3, 2011, in the Heinz Memorial Chapel at the University of Pittsburgh.

Music faculty member Dr. Christine Clewell will perform a free recital in remembrance of heroes and martyrs of World War II on April 8, 2011, at Zion Lutheran Church in Indiana, Pa.

Recital to Feature Students, Faculty Members, and Guest Artist Performing Chopin

IUP piano students, faculty members, and guest artist David Allen Wehr from Duquesne University will perform Saturday, March 19, 2011, at 3:00 p.m. in Gorell Hall. The recital is part of the Chopin Bicentennial Festival.

Jennings to Perform with Gamelan Ensemble in Maine

Dr. Linda Jennings, an assistant professor of Music at IUP, will be the featured solo cellist in a performance of the Concerto for Violin, Cello, and Javanese Gamelan on March 12, 2011.
