First IUP Symposium on Gender, Sexuality Slated for April 9

A variety of presentations will be offered at IUP’s first symposium on gender and sexuality, April 9, 2010, in the Hadley Union Building. A $5 donation to support a second conference is requested in place of a registration fee.

Provost Scholars Announced for 2009–2010

To be recognized as a Provost Scholar, a student must be a current junior with a minimum of 45 semester hours earned at IUP and a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher.

Census Bus Coming to IUP March 16

“Constitution,” a U.S. Census road-tour bus, will be in front of the Hadley Union Building on Tuesday, March 16, 2010, from noon to 5:00 p.m. The tour aims to boost awareness about the importance of participating in the census.

U.S. Census Tour to Visit Campus

The U.S. Census Road Tour will visit campus Tuesday, March 16, 2010, from noon to 5:00 p.m. at the Hadley Union Building. On March 15, every household will receive a census form. Everyone is urged to participate.

Men’s Basketball Team Earns Top Seed in NCAA Atlantic Region Tournament; IUP to Host

The men’s basketball team has earned the top seed in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Atlantic Region tournament. Two of the four opening-round games will be hosted at IUP on Saturday, March 13, 2010.

Fall 2009 Dean’s List Available On Line

The Fall 2009 Dean’s List is now available on the Office of the Registrar website. Undergraduates are recognized for earning at least a 3.25 grade-point average based on at least twelve semester hours of graded coursework.
