Six Composition and TESOL doctoral students and faculty members collaborated on a presentation at this year’s Conference on College Composition and Communication in San Francisco March 11–14, 2009.

Works and Days, published by David Downing and edited by Ed Carvalho, was recently featured in the New York Times.

SJ Miller’s policy proposal, “Moving Social Justice in English Education from Theory to Policy,” was accepted as a new research strand for the Conference on English Education to be held in Chicago, June 18–21. Participants will work on a draft to develop a national policy for social justice related to schooling.
