T-Shirts as Opportunities for Education

As March approaches, so do t-shirt sales that reflect themes related to St. Patrick’s Day. Some shirts are designed to reflect one of the themes promoted by the Center for Student Life’s t-shirt contest, while others promote values and behaviors that run counter to IUP’s mission and values.

IUP Fraternity Hosting Bone Marrow Registry Drive

Members of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity will host the drive, which is being co-sponsored by UPMC and Be The Match, operator of the National Bone Marrow Donor Program on February 14 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Hadley Union Building Ohio Room.

“He Has a Name: The Story of Trayvon Martin” Six O’Clock Series Success

Monday night's Six O'Clock Series, “He Has a Name: The Story of Trayvon Martin and the Fight to End Criminalization and Profiling of Black Youth,” was so well attended the Ohio Room hit capacity. We are working to make sure that all of the students who attended and need vouchers get them, but we ask that faculty be accommodating to their students who may have been turned away and did not get a voucher.
