McGowan Publishes Paper on Violence Risk Assessment

Dr. Mark McGowan’s manuscript, “The Predictive Validity of the Structured Assessment of Violence Risk in Youth in Secondary Educational Settings,” was accepted for publication in the American Psychological Association’s professional journal Psychological Assessment.

IUP Well-Represented at Association of School Psychologists of Pennsylvania Conference

It was another successful year for the IUP School Psychology Program at the annual Association of School Psychologists of Pennsylvania conference, held in October 2010. The program was well represented by students and faculty members at this year’s conference.

Alumna Lillenstein Named School Psychologist of the Year

IUP alumna Jennifer Lillenstein, statewide lead consultant and state lead for Response to Instruction and Intervention at the Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network, received the ASPP School Psychologist of the Year award for 2010.

McGowan Receives Early Career Psychologist Award, Publishes Chapter in Pediatric Neuropsychology Handbook

Dr. Mark McGowan, Educational and School Psychology, received the 2010 Early Career Psychologist Credentialing Scholarship from the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology. He also published a chapter in the Handbook of Pediatric Neuropsychology.
