Grammy-Winning Pianist to Present Outreach

The Lively Arts and IUP Libraries present Grammy-winning pianist, composer, and arranger Pablo Ziegler in a special question-and-answer demonstration event on Wednesday, March 25, from 12:00–1:00 p.m. in Cogswell Hall’s Orendorff Music Library.

Latin Grammy Winner Leads South American Quartet

The Lively Arts at IUP will host the Pablo Ziegler Quartet for New Tango for a one-night-only performance infused with Latin jazz on Thursday, March 26, 2015, at 8:00 p.m. in Gorell Recital Hall.

The College of Fine Arts and Department of Music will host internationally acclaimed guitarist Paolo Schianchi in a free recital on Sunday, March 22, 2015, at 8:00 p.m. in Gorell Recital Hall.

The Department of Theater and Dance and Department of Music will present “An Evening of Dance and Percussion” at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2015, in Fisher Auditorium of IUP’s Performing Arts Center.

Pittsburgh Symphony Concert Rescheduled, New Date Set

The Lively Arts is pleased to announce that the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra concert has been rescheduled. The concert will now be presented at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 20, in Fisher Auditorium.

Peavler to Present at PMEA Choral Festival

Dr. Robert Peavler will present “The Games We Play: Choral Techniques in a Game-Playing Culture” at the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association District 3 Region Choir Festival at Freeport High School on February 19, 2009.

Stanley Chepaitis, violin, and Mary Logan-Hastings, soprano, have been invited to perform and present master classes in March 2009 in Zagreb and Ljubljana.
