Patrick Bizzaro, Department of English, has won a Fulbright Senior Specialist Award to assist in the development of a writing program at the University of the Free State in South Africa. He is IUP’s 61st Fulbright Scholarship recipient.

The Heinz Endowments of Pittsburgh has awarded IUP a grant of $361,500 for a program designed to increase the number of African-American men in teacher preparation programs in colleges and universities.
