Music Department to Receive Pipe Organ from American Guild of Organists

The Department of Music will add a notable instrument this spring to its already vast keyboard collection. In May 2014, the department will make way amid its 93 Steinway pianos for the Pogorzelski-Yankee Memorial Organ, valued at $400,000.

Film Star Bill Pullman to Keynote Theater Festival at IUP

Actor, director, producer, and teacher Bill Pullman will keynote the upcoming Region 2 Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival hosted by the IUP Department of Theater and Dance. Pullman’s address will be Thursday, January 14, 2010, at 12:30 p.m. in Fisher Auditorium. The event is free and open to the general public.

The final set of chapters of the performance and recitation of Alice's Adventures in Wonderful will be presented this Saturday, December 19, 2009, at 11:00 a..m. at the Indiana Free Library.

Kennedy Center Announces Festival Plays for January

The Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival and the IUP Department of Theater and Dance recently confirmed the productions that will participate in the KCACTF Region 2 festival, to be hosted at IUP, January 13–16, 2010.

Holiday Concert in Gorell on December 13

The IUP Department of Music and The Lively Arts at IUP, as part of its Sound Choices series, will present the annual Holiday Music Festival on Sunday, December 13, 2009. The concert will begin at 3:00 p.m. in Gorell Recital Hall, located on the second floor of Sutton Hall.
