Migyanka and Colleagues Publish about Acute Care for Individuals with Autism

Joann Migyanka, associate professor in the Department of Communication Disorders, Special Education, and Disability Services, and colleagues discuss the impact of an instrument that can be used to prepare emergency department staff for the care needs of individuals with autism spectrum disorders ahead of acute presentation.

Guth Elected for ASGW Fellow Status and Selected for Dean’s Research Award

Lorraine Guth, Department of Counseling, was elected Fellow in the Association for Specialists in Group Work at the American Counseling Association Conference, and she was selected as this year's Outstanding Researcher recipient for the College of Education and Educational Technology.

McGowan Publishes Paper on Violence Risk Assessment

Retired IUP Professor Blair Celebrates 100th Birthday

On November 4, 2009, Dr. Lois Blair will celebrate her one hundredth birthday. Blair came to the Indiana State Teacher’s College in 1946 to teach English in the junior-high grades of the Keith School.

Outdoor Learning Center to Open in Fall 2010

Dr. Meghan Twiest is in charge of the construction going on in the courtyard behind Stouffer Hall. It is the beginnings of a new outdoor learning center that will be completed during the Spring 2010 semester. There will be an aesthetic area complete with a waterfall and pond, as well as a variety of plant life all around the courtyard.
