The new contract would run through June 30, 2015. Both parties said they believe the tentative agreement, which was reached on October 16, 2012, is a fair one and will recommend its ratification.

At the direction of Governor Tom Corbett, all Pennsylvania flags in the Capitol Complex and at commonwealth facilities throughout the commonwealth are to be lowered to half-staff in honor of U.S. Senator Arlen Specter, who died on Sunday, October 14. Flags shall remain at half-staff until interment.

The generosity of numerous on-campus organizations has once again provided incentive prizes for this year’s campaign. Drawings will start Monday, October 8 and will continue weekly through the end of the campaign. All those making a SECA pledge will be entered and eligible for all the weekly drawings.
