“The Merry Widow” Opens at IUP December 3

Music Theater at Indiana University of Pennsylvania will open its presentation of the light-hearted musical The Merry Widow on Thursday, December 3, 2009. Performances will run December 3–5 at 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday, December 6, at 2:00 p.m. on the Waller Hall Mainstage, IUP Performing Arts Center.

Music Fraternity, Sorority Present Swing Dance Benefit

IUP professional music fraternities Phi Mu Alpha and Sigma Alpha Iota will present a swing-dance demonstration and dance November 7 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. in Cogswell Hall. Proceeds benefit the Alice Paul House, a shelter for survivors of domestic violence.

Peavler Coauthors Article in Journal of Singing

Robert Peavler recently coauthored “Team Teaching for Studio Class Success” in the Journal of Singing. He also serves on the College Music Society’s National Outreach in Higher Education Committee.
