On Janurary 26, 2010, the Society of Human Resource Management organization at the Eberly College of Business and Information Technology hosted Ms. Sherry Bender as a guest speaker.

On January 5, 2010, the Eberly College of Business and Information Technology, along with the Technology Support and Training Department, hosted the Region 3 Future Business Leaders of America Leadership and Competitive Event Conference. High schools from around the area met to compete in events such as accounting, marketing, and finance.

IUP is one of twenty-four founding student chapter institutions worldwide for the Association for Information Systems (AIS).

During the weekend of December 3 to December 6, 2009, IUP’s International Business Association (IBA) visited the Massachusetts Office of International Trade and Investment (MOITI) in Boston as part of the organization’s 2009 Fall semester academic trip.
