IUP President to be Featured on “Infinite Opportunities” Cable Show

IUP President Michael Driscoll will be featured on the August 2 episode of “Infinite Opportunities,” a half-hour, public affairs program featuring Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education universities. The show airs at 2:00 p.m. on the Pennsylvania Cable Network, the statewide public affairs network.

IUP Administrator Named to Global Dialogue Program by International Organization

Michele Petrucci, assistant vice president for International Education and Global Engagement in the Office of International Education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, has been selected to serve as one of six U.S. Global Dialogue Partners for the inaugural cohort of Global Dialogue Fellows.

IUP Receives Grant Funding from PLCB to Reduce Underage, Dangerous Drinking

Indiana University of Pennsylvania has received $39,992 from the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board to help to fund strategies to reduce underage and dangerous drinking. IUP’s grant is part of funding from PLCB of almost $2.3 million to 65 municipalities, community groups, schools, colleges and universities and law enforcement agencies through the 2015-17 Alcohol Education Grant Program.

Academy of Culinary Arts Dean’s List, Spring 2015

Students are named to the Dean’s Recognition List for academic excellence at the Academy of Culinary Arts when they achieve a grade-point average of 3.25 or higher.

IUP Dean Honored as American Theatre Fellow

Michael Hood, dean of IUP’s College of Fine Arts, has been honored by the College of Fellows of the American Theatre as an American Theatre Fellow. He will hold this recognition for a lifetime. He was inducted at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. on April 19, 2015.

McHugh Selected for IUP’s Distinguished University Professor Honor

Maureen McHugh has been selected as IUP’s 2015–16 Distinguished University Professor. A professor of psychology, McHugh is known nationally for her work in gender and diversity and in the field of violence against women.

Four IUP Faculty Members Honored with University Senate Distinguished Faculty Awards

Each year, the University Senate invites students, administrators, and the faculty and staff to nominate faculty members for the University Senate Distinguished Faculty Awards, and the Senate’s Awards Committee determines the winners. Award recipients are recognized at the May commencement ceremony.
