Lively Arts Announces Ovations! Season for 2013–2014

Twelve nationally touring acts are slated for the next season of Ovations!, including Broadway musicals, dance troupes, an improv group, the ZOFO piano duet and more musical groups, and a return visit by one of the most talked-about Lively Arts performance groups of all time.

McGinnis and Derry Receive Sprout Seed Award

Department of Art faculty members Chris McGinnis and Sean Derry were recently award funding from the Sprout Fund. The Seed Award will partially fund their visual and performing arts initiative entitled Alloy Pittsburgh.

Artists Hand Gallery Opened by Theater Professor

Brian Jones, theater professor and chair of the Department of Theater and Dance, saw the grand opening of his new gallery, the Artists Hand, on Friday, July 13, 2012. The gallery in downtown Indiana will feature works by local artists and IUP faculty and students.

The Low Down: Tales from the Margin

Featuring new ceramic work by seven contemporary clay artists, “The Low Down: Tales from the Margin” will open in the Kipp Gallery Annex on November 8, 2011, and run through December 9.

Student Ticket Purchasing Made Simpler for Lively Arts Events

The Lively Arts has streamlined the ticket purchasing process for all of its events, including the touring Broadway performance of In the Heights this Friday, October 21, 2011. The changes were made as a response to concerns by the student body and the Student Cooperative Board.
