Pedersen Publishes on Agency and Posthumanism

Hans Pedersen, Department of Philosophy, published a paper titled “Heidegger and Korsgaard on Death and Freedom: the Implications for Posthumanism” in Human Studies, the official journal of the Society for Phenomenology and the Human Sciences.

New Liberal Studies Philosophy Course, Spring '16: Philosophy and the Good Life

This course examines philosophical attempts to say what it means to live a good life. Is living a good life simply about maximizing the pleasure one experiences? Does a good life require religious faith? Is being virtuous essential to living a good life?
