In conjunction with a recent exhibit in the University Museum, professional artist and IUP alumnus Ron Donoughe will offer a one-day painting workshop. The session will focus on plein air painting.
This is the second time this workshop will be offered. Those who attended the first session in May are welcome to attend this session.
The workshop, open to the general public, will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2010, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with participants meeting at the University Museum in Sutton Hall. The cost is $75 per person, and people can register by e-mailing Sally Daskivich by September 28 at firstname.lastname@example.org, or by calling 724-357-2397. Registrants are asked to provide their own paint and materials along with a bag lunch.
Originally from Loretto, Pa., Donoughe is a graduate of IUP’s Art Department, having charted a highly accomplished career. His recent exhibit in the University Museum featured an eighty-piece mural wall of plein air paintings, celebrating the beauty and warmth of Indiana County.
We invite you to view Donoughe's website for more information on him and plein air painting.
