Michele Bratina, a doctoral student in Criminology from Jensen Beach, Florida, has received the first Dr. Imogene Moyer Scholarship.
Established by Ayn Embar-Seddon O'Reilly D’00 and her husband, Dan, of Pittsburgh, the scholarship is awarded to female doctoral candidates in Criminology and is meant to cover incidental expenses.
O'Reilly, a Capella University faculty member, is the author of several forensics textbooks. She said she established the scholarship in honor of her mentor, Moyer, a longtime member of the Criminology faculty who died in 2009.
Bratina, shown in the center of the photo, recently met her benefactors for lunch in Indiana. At left and right are Dan O’Reilly and Ayn Embar-Seddon O’Reilly.
