The Applied Research Lab will host a Stats for Brunch Workshop on Tuesday, April 20, 2010, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. in the HUB Susquehanna Room. In this workshop, the use of decision trees, also known as classification or regression trees, will be explored.
This statistical technique classifies categorical data, without all of the assumptions associated with other methods, and generates an easy-to-follow output diagram that allows for quick decision making. In particular, we will be covering the process of creating a decision tree model with the SPSS add-on module. A model will be created in real-time with the software by the presenters, ARL graduate assistants Ben Jarrett and Steve Brewer.
The workshop is available to IUP faculty, managers, and students. Watch your e-mail for registration information.
