The IUP Special Needs Activity Program (SNAP) offers physical fitness, motor development, and aquatics activities for individuals with disabilities. Sponsored by the Department of Health and Physical Education, SNAP is open to individuals of all ages and abilities from the Indiana area and surrounding communities.
Registration is still ongoing. The spring program began in January, but sessions continue in Zink Hall on the dates and times below. Individuals can start at any point in the program.
Saturdays, 9:00–11:00 a.m., February 14 and 21, March 14 and 28, and April 18 and 25.
Wednesdays, 6:00–8:00 p.m., February 18 and 25, March 18 and 25, and April 15 and 22.
Registration for the program is ongoing, so please feel free to sign up or refer individuals who may benefit from the IUP SNAP program.
Volunteers are always welcome to help, and hours can be documented upon request. SNAP is a great opportunity for students looking to become involved in a worthwhile, hands-on, community service program. It is a required practicum experience for all HPED students.
