Professor Emeritus Dr. Donald Duncan passed away after a long illness on January 17 at the age of 74. Don began his career at IUP in 1968 and retired in 1996. He was the Mathematics Department’s coordinator of student teaching and served the department and university in many other capacities. A full obituary can be found at the Indiana Gazette site.
For memorial donations to the Mathematics Department, the family has requested funds be contributed to the Arthur G. Morrell Scholarship fund. Don and Wally Morrell (Art’s dad) were good friends, and since Don himself was a military man, the family thought it would be appropriate.
Checks should be made payable to The Foundation for IUP, and the memo line of the check should contain “Morrell 630142 in memory of Don Duncan.”
