Indiana University of Pennsylvania has been selected for Money magazine’s 2017 “Best College for You” listing.

Editors considered 27 factors in selecting universities for the rankings, centered around three measures: quality of education, including graduation rate and peer quality (academic preparation of students accepted by the university); affordability, including debt of graduates; and outcomes, which includes graduates’ earnings and socio-economic mobility index. These measures were determined by sources including PayScale.com and Equality of Opportunity Project.

IUP offers more than 140 undergraduate majors and more than 60 graduate programs, including 14 doctoral programs. In addition, students can complete more than 65 minors and scores of specialized tracks and certificate programs, including certificate in athletic coaching, gerontology, photography and digital imaging, popular music, and public history.

IUP continues to add state-of-the-art programs of study for its students. Its newest undergraduate majors are public health and environmental engineering, both in-demand careers in Pennsylvania and throughout the nation.

IUP is routinely included in national publications for excellence. In June, IUP was selected by Schools.com as a “Top Ten” university. IUP has been chosen for the Princeton Review’s “Best Colleges” guidebook since 2002, and has been included in US News & World Report’s Best Colleges list; in Forbes magazine’s “America’s Best Colleges” rankings, and Washington Monthly’s national ranking of universities based on contributions to society.
