Build and Bust with the Interior Design Program

Students in a shelter built out of recycled and reused productsIn conjunction with Earth Week 2017, the Interior Design Program encourages you to recycle and reuse while participating in a fun, philanthropic event.

When:

  • Tuesday, April 25
    (Rain date Wednesday, April 26)
  • 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Judging:

  • 4:00 p.m.

The Challenge:

Create a shelter out of recycled and reused products

Cost:

$15 entry fee. Applications must be submitted by Friday, April 21, to Ackerman 207.

Voting Tickets:

$1 each, purchased at the event site

Where:

  • The Green Space outside of Ackerman Hall

Prizes and Benefits:

Monies will go to your organization’s chosen charity

  • Grand Prize: $100
  • Most Structurally Sound: $50
  • Most Creative use of Materials: $50

Winners will be announced at the Interior Design Portfolio Show on Thursday, April 27, at 5:00 p.m. in the College of Health and Human Services, Room 126.
