If you are struggling to think of a romantic date for Valentine’s Day, you can tune in to IUP-TV for the airing of a romantic-comedy film written and directed by Communications Media faculty member Jeremy Waltman.
It Plays Like Love tells the unraveling of a theater company when its two lead actors, who are in a damaged marriage, are cast to star in a play that recreates the director’s failed relationship.
Waltman, who wrote the screenplay for the film, states the threads of the movie are broken up into interconnected themes. “The scripted drama, honest confessions, timeless questions and confusions, and humor add up to an experience greater than the sum of its parts . . . like love.”
Taking about three years to make, the romantic comedy was shot in Georgia and in New York. It was screened at a number of film festivals in 2016.
You can watch It Plays
