IUP is offering concurrent archaeology field schools from May 27–July 3, 2014. Applications are available in the Anthropology Department for the Undergraduate Field School (ANTH 320), for the Basic Field School for graduate students (ANTH 520), and for the Advanced Field School for graduate students (ANTH 740). Each of these courses is a 6-credit course.
This field school will be continuing investigations at the Johnston site (36IN2), a Late Prehistoric village located in southern Indiana County. Students will learn field techniques while participating in ongoing research at this site.
The field schools will be based in Indiana, and students may make arrangements with IUP for housing and meals or live in the community.
ANTH 320 is required for Archaeology Track Anthropology majors. Registration for this course is by application only, and review of applications will begin after March 12, but will continue until the field school is filled.
Please direct questions about this course to the instructors for this year’s field school: Sarah Neusius (email@example.com) and Phillip Neusius (firstname.lastname@example.org).
