IUP Libraries is pleased to announce that our hours will go
to a 24/5 schedule starting February 2, 2014!
The new 24/5 hours will be as follows:
Hours between 12:45 a.m.–7:45 a.m. will only include access to the
first floor of Stapleton Library. No services will be offered between the hours of 12:45 a.m.–7:45 a.m.,
Monday–Friday. Security cameras have been installed and monitors will make
rounds during the new late night hours.
Between 12:45 a.m.–7:45 a.m., library patrons will need to swipe
their I-Card upon entry to the building. Those already in the building before
12:45 a.m. who wish to stay will also need to report to the Circulation Desk at
12:45 a.m. to swipe their I-Card.
Only IUP students, faculty, and staff will be
allowed on the premises between the hours of 12:45 a.m.–7:45 a.m.
Please be aware: the new 24/5 schedule is a pilot project that will run until May 2015, at which point the library administration will evaluate statistics on the usage of the library during the late night/early morning hours to make a determination if the service should be continued.
