Admissions officials from 16 law schools are coming to chat
with IUP students at the 27th Annual Law School Fair on Tuesday,
October 15, 2013, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Blue Room of Sutton Hall.
“This is a great mix of law schools,” said political science
faculty member Dr. Gwen Torges. She said
this is an ideal opportunity for anyone who is even casually interested in one
day attending law school. “Schools from
across the country and with different specializations will give students a good
start at selecting what law schools they want to apply to."
A representative of Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions is also
sending a representative to speak with students about preparing for the Law
School Admission Test (LSAT), which prospective law school students must
take. Kaplan is a company which offers a
variety of services and materials to help
students prepare for the LSAT.
The law schools registered to attend the Law School Fair
prepared with questions for the law
school representatives. “This is a
chance to see what each school is really like,” she said.
