Beginning in February, IT Services began notifying faculty to identify their transition plans for the upcoming discontinuation of Moodle 1.9. Currently, there has been almost 100 percent participation from faculty.
IT Support Center staff have already begun converting courses per faculty requests. Course conversions from Moodle to D2L are currently in progress. Conversions from the current instance of Moodle (Moodle 1.9) to Moodle 2.X will begin following the activation of the Moodle 2.X server in mid-May. Faculty members will be individually notified via e-mail notifications from ihelp as their courses are converted and made available through the desired learning management system.
The plan for the Moodle Transition is the result of an agreement between administration and APSCUF leadership. For more information on the Moodle transition, check out the Moodle Transition FAQ.
