The visually stunning Cirque Musica is coming to the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex on September 24, 2013. Ticket prices start at $24.50 and go on sale to the public Friday, April 19 at 10:00 a.m. at the Kovalchick Complex Box Office, online at Kovalchick Complex, and via phone at 1-800-298-4200. This will be the first time Cirque Musica plays in Indiana, Pa.
Cirque Musica is a new concert and visual experience for the entire family, blending the spellbinding grace and daredevil athleticism of today’s greatest circus performers with the sensory majesty of the greatest music of all time. It is the perfect opportunity to introduce your family to great music, including classical, Pops, and more, while enjoying a rollicking, shock-tacular circus experience.
Cirque Musica features top circus performers from around the world performing in an over-the-top arena spectacular. The show features the “clown of clowns” David Larible, who has headlined circuses in arenas and theaters across Europe and is making his triumphant return to the United States where he previously was the headliner for Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey. In addition to David Larible, Cirque Musica will feature the world famous Wallenda Highwire Duo, the thrilling España Family, and a cast of world-renowned performers.
The musical repertoire features world favorites from the classical cannon, including Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Flight of the Bumblebee,” “Violin Concerto in D Major” by Tchaikovsky, Gustav Holst’s “The Planets,” as well as orchestral Pops features, including a salute to some of the best rock acts of all time. Cirque Musica also features original music composed by Emmy and Academy Award-nominated composer Marcelo Zarvos.
