Laura Kaufman, student in the Applied Archaeology Master of Arts Program, presented a poster at the PennByways Statewide Conference on Heritage in Lancaster, July 15–19.
In the poster, titled, “What Difference Does 50 Years Make? The Comparability of the Johnston Site Faunal Assemblages,” Kaufman compared the condition of animal bones recovered in the 1950s Johnston Site excavation by the Carnegie Museum with material recovered since 2006 by IUP Archaeological Field Schools.
