Longlott, a Human Development and Environmental Studies major and member of Alpha Xi Delta, will talk about the sorority's awareness and fundraising efforts on behalf of Autism Speaks, the largest national organization in the United States focusing on autism awareness and research. The sorority is responsible for "lighting up blue" the Performing Arts Center and Sutton Hall. "Light It Up Blue" is a national initiative to raise awareness during April, national Autism Awareness Month.

These faculty from the College of Education and Educational Technology and College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics will discuss the newest research on the identification and assessment of autism spectrum disorders. They are presenters at "Autism: A Multidisciplinary Perspective on Assessment, Treatment and Education," the Six O'Clock Series lecture, 6:00 p.m., Monday, April 9.
