Donald Miller, a senior Biology pre-med major, won two awards for research proposals in physiology and neuroscience.
Miller submitted the proposals in April 2011 for research he is conducting as he finishes his Biology Honors thesis.
The award competition was open to all students at Pennsylvania colleges and universities for work in the natural, physical, and social sciences, as a part of efforts by the Pennsylvania Academy of Science to support science education and research within the commonwealth.
Miller authored the proposals based upon his work with Dr. Paul Nealen in the IUP Department of Biology, with whom he has conducted research since his arrival at IUP.
