Malinda Cowles, chair of the fourth annual women’s conference at IUP, will be a guest on Renda Broadcasting’s Indiana in the Morning on Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at 7:45 a.m. The show can be heard on WDAD-AM 1450.
Cowles will discuss the conference, “Tough Women in Tough Times,” planned for May 25 at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex. The program offers a day of seminars on personal and professional growth, with luncheon keynote presenter KDKA-TV news anchor Jennifer Antkowiak.
Registration for the day or morning begins at 8:00 a.m. with breakout sessions from 9:15 to 11:30 a.m.
Registration for the afternoon session begins at 11:30 a.m., and breakout sessions begin at 1:45 p.m.
The program, co-sponsored by Indiana Regional Medical Center's Spirit of Women, is an initiative of the President’s Commission on the Status of Women at IUP.
Cowles is associate director of Health AWAREness and interim executive director of the Center for Health and Well-Being at IUP.
The conference is free to IUP employees, but pre-registration is required. The original registration deadline of May 13 has been extended.
