Retiring sculpture professor and internationally recognized artist James Nestor will give a talk on Thursday, November 11, 2010, regarding his work and the current exhibition, “elapsed.” The presentation will take place at 5:00 p.m. in Sprowls Hall, Room 118-A. The exhibit is currently running in Kipp Gallery.
The talk will focus on his body of work from the last thirty years. The gallery will be open for viewing immediately following the artist talk. If you missed the opening, this is an excellent opportunity to engage with the works as well as with Dr. Nestor.
The Kipp Gallery is located in Sprowls Hall on the IUP campus at the corner of 11th and Grant streets. The exhibit runs through November 19, and hours are Tuesday through Friday from noon to 4:00 p.m. Admission to the presentation and the exhibit are free.
Additional information and photos can be seen in the exhibit’s recent news post, the Kipp Gallery website, or the Kipp Gallery Facebook page.
