Shaun Gabbidon, who earned his Ph.D. in Criminology from IUP in 1996, will speak on April 12, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. in the Ohio
Room of the Hadley Union Building. His presentation is “Shopping While
Black: Understanding and Combating Racial Profiling in Retail Settings.”

University Museum to celebrate the works of three IUP faculty members. Drs.
Christian Vaccaro and Melissa Swauger, two faculty members in the department of
sociology, have authored “Unleashing Manhood in the Cage: Masculinity and Mixed
Martial Arts.” Dr. Aimee Wilson, a faculty member in the Department of
English, is the author of “Conceived in Modernism: The Aesthetics and Politics
of Birth Control.”

The Indiana Cares Campaign to End Homophobia (ICC) will kick
off its 12th annual LGBT Film Festival with a special “Music
Upstairs at the Coney” on September 26, 2015, with a performance by Grist for the Mill
from 7:00–9:00 p.m. The festival will be held on five Sunday evenings in October

Phi Sigma Pi national co-ed
honor fraternity has organized six different events for its first Autism Awareness
Week, planned for March 30 through April 4, 2015.
All of the events are designed to raise awareness about
