Indiana University of Pennsylvania's Office of Distance Learning and Continuing Education, in cooperation with the Court at St. Andrew's Village, the American Association of University Women and the New Century Club of Indiana, will sponsor the Great Decisions Lecture Discussion Series, Feb. 3 through March 31.

Sessions will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Court at St. Andrew's Village. Preregistration is required, as textbooks must be ordered in advance.

The sessions will be led by current or retired IUP faculty members. The dates, programs and discussion leaders are as follows:

  • Feb. 3: The U.S. and Rising Powers, Dr. Edward Platt
  • Feb. 10: Afghanistan and Pakistan, Dr. Steven Jackson
  • Feb. 17: Energy and the Global Economy, Dr. Gawdat Bahgat
  • Feb. 24: The Arctic Age, Dr. Katie Farnsworth
  • March 10: Egypt in the 21st Century, Bahgat
  • March 17: Global Food Supply, Dr. Tom VanDyke
  • March 24: Cuba after Castro, Dr. Peter Broad
  • March 31: Universal Human Rights?, Dr. Gwen Torges
