RESS Program Announces 2016 Keynote Speaker

The Research Experiences for Summer Scholars’ keynote speaker will be Anne Jefferson, an associate professor in the Department of Geology at Kent State University, who will present “Stopping Stormwater: An Interdisciplinary Approach to Improving the Urban Environment” on Aug. 4.

Lees to Kick Off Friday’s Petri Plate Pizza Session for RESS

The last seminar of the Research Experience for Summer Scholars (RESS) program kicks off at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, July 8, in 240 Weyandt Hall with Nicole Lees, an RESS scholar and IUP geoscience student. Nicole will present “Field Work at the Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry.”

Hanely Presents at RESS Petri Plate Pizza Session

Derek is working under the direction of Rachelle Bouchat during the 10-week summer program.

Nealen Conducts Neuroscience Peer Review Session with Elementary Students

As a review editor for Frontiers in Neuroscience, Paul Nealen (Biology) was invited to oversee the review of a Young Minds neuroscience article that described a novel use of oxytocin as a potential way to improve social facilitation in persons afflicted with autism or schizophrenia.
