Biotechnology Research Institute Programs
One of the goals of the Biotechnology Research Institute is to help prepare students for careers in applied sciences. With this goal in mind, Dr. N. Bharathan will be offering a Practicum for Undergraduate Students during Summer 2014. The goal of the program is to motivate students to study biology and to acquaint high school students with the techniques in modern biology research.
Center for Applied Psychology
The Center for Applied Psychology (CAP) is a training clinic that provides assessment, psychotherapy, consultation, education, and research. The CAP currently houses four clinics, each staffed by IUP faculty members—who are licensed psychologists—and by doctoral students.
Center for Statistics Education in Pennsylvania
The Center brings quantitative literacy and the hands-on use of mathematics manipulatives with a real data approach to the teaching of K-12 Pennsylvania teachers of mathematics and to their students.
Information Assurance
The Institute for Information Assurance is an interdisciplinary institute that will promote and encourage cyber security and information assurance, both on campus and off, through teaching, research and service activities to enhance people's knowledge of this important field.
Software Development Center
The Center provides IUP students with real-world experience in designing and developing high-quality software, building software systems for clients, and improving the software development expertise of the region.
