    Our Facilities Blow Others Away

“The facilities at IUP are incredible. They blow away those at a lot of larger schools in the country. I know this first-hand from auditioning and playing in them.”

Justin Polyblank, BSEd Music Education; Saxophonist in the United States Army Band “Pershing's Own,” MM in saxophone performance and jazz studies from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music

Choose the Major That Suits Your Passion for Music

You bring to the music program talent and passion, which are first revealed through your audition. That's your overture. From there you join our faculty, your peers, and your ensembles on a musical journey that will inspire, challenge, and consume you-all designed to help you realize your musical potential as a teacher, performer or both. IUP enjoys the prestige of being an All-Steinway School-one of a select handful in the nation-and the department is a fully accredited member of the National Association of School of Music.
