IUP piano professor Henry Wong Doe performed with the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra on Sunday, January 14, in their Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration concert.
The performance was held at the Greater Johnstown High School Auditorium, the original concert hall for the Johnstown Symphony. Wong Doe performed a solo work, “Troubled Water” by Margaret Bonds, as well as “Grass” for piano, strings, and percussion by Coleridge-Taylor Perkinson. The orchestra was conducted by Maestro James Blachly.
